This little gem was started in a class with Melody Johnson. I love it, but didn’t know how or what to name it. Tonight it came to me: Crossing the Line. I just finished quilting it with some wonderful Superior King Tut thread. That stuff is awesome.

I got the call yesterday and I DO have breast cancer again. I have non-invasive ductal carcinoma in situ. I have had this twice before so I know the routine. In the left breast, it was so small, I only had lymph nodes removed and then had radiation – that was 17 years ago. Eleven years ago I had the same diagnosis in the right breast, went in to have a lumpectomy, but the margins were not clear enough so I ended up with a mastectomy. Have to see the surgeon Monday to find out what happens next. I’m pretty sure it will be lumpectomy and radiation. There will not be a quilt titled Radiant Breast.
