Oh, I love my quilting retreats at Bishop’s Ranch so much!! It is located north of here in the Dry Creek Valley wine country. Here are some photos to give you a flavor of the place:

Some show and tell:
Diane did this in a class with Velda Newman at Art Quilt Tahoe last year. She said she almost got in trouble because she did not bring a "nature" photo. Isn’t this grand?
This is my friend, Patsy’s, sister Mary Lou who comes out from Massachusetts every October to retreat with us.
What did I do, you ask?
I did the final row on a guild project called add a row. This started with the kangaroos in Australian fabric. I added the aboriginal turtles.
I finished my crazy blocks for the Marilyn Felber class. Stay tuned for the next installment.
The Pointless Sisters meets next Tuesday and it is time to turn in our brown bag challenge. I received 3 clothespins in my bag. Here is my inspiration. My daughter, Steph, had this photo on her blog last June, after a camping trip:
I printed it on fabric and did my own version of the blended photo quilt – I fused the background and did extensive thread painting. I still have to couch the clothesline.
That’s all folks. Gotta get some food in the house and work on my strata for a Louisa Smith class tomorrow.
