I Am Really Losing It

In fact, I have lost 10 pounds as of today. Here is where I usually get in to trouble. I feel great and have lots of energy. My clothes are loose and I am fitting in to things I almost gave away. I usually plateau for physical and psychological reasons. And of course, we are leaving for vacation on Sunday. I hope to get in lots of hiking and walking and to eat sensibly. If I can just hold it or lose a teensy bit, I will be happy.

I have been trying to clean up my creative space this week. I have made a mess as I have come and gone from workshops and have been working on quilts for the Japanese Garden show. I can’t do another thing until I clean up my mess.

Here are the latest additions to my studio.

In the background are black cotton t-shirts that I plan to discharge. On the left is soy way. In the center are T-Juice fabric markers. I think M & M may be decorating some t-shirts this week-end. I will also use them on fabric for art quilts. Today, I stopped in at big lots and got a fantastic deal on these clamps which I will use in my shibori work for clamping resists.

As I was leaving the house over the week-end, I saw this strange sign on the corner of Reed College property so I grabbed my camera and took a photo. Then, I thought I would have some fun in Photoshop and add it to my Virtual Iraq War Protest.

Be sure to click on the Endless War bumper sticker in my sidebar to see all the photos in the Virtual Iraq War Protest. I have added some new photos.

I might have to go to WeightWatchers when we get back from New Mexico. Too much food, and what our friends consider exercise doesn’t quite cut it for us. Congrats on your loss so far, and have a great time!

A car passed us somewhere on the road yesterday (was it Pennsylvania or New York? they are all a blurr to me now!!) and it had the endless war sticker on the bumper. I wanted to get a pic for you, but it was going waaaay over the speed limit, so I had to let it go.
Keep up the good work with the weight loss. I’ve found it difficult to diet this week and may find it necessary to head back to WW when we get home…a few weeks of pep talks does me a lot of good!
    Have a great vacation!

Congratulations. Keep it up. I’ve seen ads for those TJuice pens. They look really great. I’m eager to see your results.

Way to go Gerrie! The best thing is to feel great and have more energy.
I love, love, love your shibori results. It’s all beautiful, but that lime green and indigo really grabs me. Have a wonderful and relaxing vacation! Jen

Good work my friend. I’m still at Curves but the heat is definitely getting to me. I may pass today since it will be 95 and 95% humidity. I loved the shibori work and especially the circles-so many different and wonderful effects from it. Are you going to stay at Lake Quinault? My BIL Bob stayed there a few years ago and loved it. Whatever you do I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing time.

Congratulations Gerrie! Ten pounds is wonderful for the short time you have been on Weight Watchers. I bet the work out you got this weekend helped – Shiboir Diet? Where did you find the Tee Juice? What a great name. Although I have my own natural Tee juice – coffee, wine, well you get the idea. If only I could stain my tees in a more artistic way. Have a great time on your trip. Are you going to Lake Quinalt Lodge? You are going to a beautiful part of the state. The trees, mosses, and ferns are wonderful, but be sure to bring mosquito juice. Cheers.
