This morning Mr C and I picked up a very excited Miles who had $11 bucks of his own money to spend and headed for the Lego Store.
It was all quite mind boggling. All those Star Wars sets. He looked and scrutinized and looked and read the boxes for about anĀ hour.
I amused myself taking photos:
My favorite bin of lime green Lego’s:
I finally told him that he had to choose one and if he got it home and didn’t like it, I would bring it back and exchange it.
On the way home, we had a rare sighting of Mt Hood in November.
Here is the happy boy running to share his swag with his mom and sister.
And here is the sweet girl who gets her turn next month:
I got some work done on the Dead Sea piece. I will share that tomorrow.
How exciting for Miles to go and pick something and help pay for it himself. Brings back memories. When James was born I started buying Legos before he could even pull himself up into the sitting position. I think the whole family was on to me. James belonged to the Legomaniac Club so they would send flyers with special deals and such…I really miss those days and look forward to having them again someday. I always include one small Lego piece in with his Christmas gifts.
What a magical time for Miles! I remember a few times like that in my childhood: makes one feel so special. You and Mr C are the greatest grandparents! Mia looks adorable….love her jacket and skirt!

I would hyperventilate in that store–I always had an irrational love of Legos when my kids were into them. Lime green ones–oohh!
