Yesterday, we awoke to a beautiful, sunshine filled sky. Perfect day to get some pumpkins for the front stoop. M & M and their parents picked us up and we headed south to Canby (Oregon farm country). I took some great photos which I will post for your viewing pleasure with some captions to amuse and edify.
ANIMALS:
Goats in trees, a possible new sitcom, about the lengths a goat will go to for food.
Pavlov’s Rabbits. Honest to God. These rabbits were lolling around in the pen. Someone put a quarter in the food machine. They heard ka-ching, ka-ching, and they were at that feeding tube.
Here is a hog eating like a hog.
This is what a hog looks like after it eats like a hog.
RIDES, ACTIVITIES AND OTHER DIVERSIONS
Here are Mia and Milo in the nut house. It is a building filled with hazel nuts. Children were having so much fun trying to walk on these nuts, rolling around in them, etc.
In this shot, you can see Mia has lost her first tooth. It hung around for almost a year, dangling and driving us crazy! Finally, last week, it came out.
The Great Hay Slide. Mia is on the right and Milo is getting ready to jettison on the left. The slides ends in a pile of hay – fun!!
Then there was the always popular jump house. I love the look of pure joy on Milo’s face.
Hey, where is my sister?
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE PUMPKINS
Mia finds the perfect little round pumpkin.
Milo looks and looks:
Yes! He finds it.
Grandma’s picks:
Oh, look pumpkins with sunflowers – oooh!
A visit to the Great Pumpkin capped off our morning.
And here are the pumpkins, back at home on the front stoop.
You can see mall the pumpkin patch photos, here at my Flickr site.
What a really cool place…and excellent photos!
That nut house is so cool! What a wonderful day. Beautiful family.
Another wonderful memory for the grandchildren! They (and you) are so lucky to live close enough to share these wonderful times.
You gave me a whole new image for “nut house”. Jen
It looks like so much fun! I wanna go too! I love autumn & pumpkins & sunflowers & everything about the season. You are very lucky to be near enough to play like this with those little ones!
love these shots of those beautiful little ones. thanks for the tip on SAD. I have ordered the lamp-Roger and I both realised the symptoms when you pointed them out-thank you, thank you, thank you…help is on the way.
Everyone seems to have had a wonderful fun-filled day. Love the nut house!
Hey, we’re going pumpkin shopping today too! No hay slides and nut houses for us, though. Bummer.
It looks like a glorious day!
What a great day! I cannot believe a building full of nuts! If the squirrels only knew… 🙂
Looks like great fun! It’s been gorgeous at the beach too…
What a wonderful time you and the family had.
