Gerrie found me in the Oregonian ads this morning. I was being held to go to a woman undergoing breast cancer treatment, and she decided she could not care for me. So Gerrie and Mr C drove out to Battle Ground, WA this morning and brought me home with them. I barfed in the back seat of the car, but it didn’t seem to be a big problem.
My mom is a golden first generation Labradoodle and my dad is a standard black poodle. I was the runt of the litter and so I am somewhat timid and very respectful.
My big sister Maggie is very aloof and tries to eat my food so I eat hers. No problem for me.
Gerrie has taken me for two walks and I have gotten lots of attention from the neighbors. When she stops to talk, I just chill and wait for her to move on. She bought me some toys and a new collar and leash. I think I am going to like it here.
When I get my haircut, you will be able to see my eyes and I will have a curly coat. It is time for me to settle into my new crate next to the weird old Jack Russell. I sure hope she doesn’t snore. I am worn out from all this activity.
Looking forward to much more on the Adventures of Scooter.
Hey, Scoots. I was delighted to meet you and your Mom at the Rhody Garden this morning. You don’t have to keep wrapping your leash around her like you were doing; you’ve already got her wrapped around your little toe. Come visit China Rose and Stella Luna if you’d like some practice with cats.
well hello there scooter! are you new to quilting? i’m sure maggie will give you any pointers you need as she has had a great teacher in Mrs. C.
Scooter-doggie……….bonjour, je m’apelle Barker Baby! That is all the French I can remember because I live in Georgia and we only speak Southern here, but I do want to tell you that my Mom says that your Mom, Dad and big sistahs are tops (not to mention Mia and Milo)! You are one lucky doggie…and don’t you forget it! I doubt that we will get to meet, so I am imploring my Mom to keep me posted on your doggie dos and don’ts. And yes, I too hope that Miss Maggie won’t snore….but when you get old like me, you’ll be snoring too, so just be patient and bear with the old gal!
Bon Soir,
Barker Baby

Welcome Scooter! I think you’re very cute. How old are you?
Hi Scooter! Welcome to the Congdon household. I love your shaggy head and button nose! I imagine Maggie will warm up to you just as soon as she figures out that having you there means she doesn’t have to go on long walks any more. 😉
Don’t let Maggie intimidate you, Scooter–she’s all bark as they say. I’m looking forward to meeting you. I think you’ll like your new home.
Oh Scooter, you have found a very loving home. Be kind to Ms. Maggie, she’ll come around and teach you how to manipulate the humans to your advantage! Have fun on your walks and doesn’t Gerrie look fantastic in her new spec! Welcome to the virtual family, Scooter! Cheers.
