The postcards above, were created from bits of surfaced designed fabric that I have saved. These were really fun to put together. I am done with postcards for awhile so I have to come up with a new activity for tomorrow.
The following two cards are themes I often fall back on when I my brain needs a break.
I spent most of today getting the postcards done. Their destination will be revealed in due time.
I also did the machine stitching on the sleeves for my Twelve X Twelve quilts. They are ready for me when I have some need for hand stitching.
I am so going to make some post cards! I think I said that a few posts back, but I really am. Enjoying the Art Every Day posts, Gerrie!
This art every day stuff is really working for you – the postcards have been super! As I near the end of the cutting stage of my current project, I have many little scraps again and thought, well, more postcard fodder. Then I thought how neat it would be to have one or more postcards based on each regular piece of art I make – even if the only connection is the fabric. Roll on, Gerrie!
I think you delight in your sewing studio like I do in my dye studio! I love what you have done….but mostly because I was the recipient of THE BEST of the postcards! LOL Am I partial? I don’t think so! So here comes reality: getting the sleeves on those 12 x 12s! You Go Girl!!!
xo
I am so digging these! They are just the way to create when a big project might seem overwhelming (everything seems overwhelming to me! I still have a problem cutting beautiful fabrics!)
Ooohhh Gerrie! These are lots of fun.
the postcards are looking fabulous! I am especially partial to the indigo ones from the previous post…
