You didn’t think that I would make irrigation circles that look like the real thing, did you? I spent most of the afternoon, fusing silk fabrics to start a smaller version of the irrigation circles. I made two copies. This one is about 18″ X 21″. I am having lots of fun with this.
However, while I was pulling out silk fabrics, I found a discharged piece of silk that is just yelling at me. I put it on the design wall and I keep looking for fabrics to work with it. So I feel pulled in two directions. Can I make two pieces at the same time? Oh, and don’t worry, I don’t think that lime green is working, either.
I haven’t posted a photo of Scooter lately, so here he is, doing what comes naturally, sleeping. His winter coat is at least and inch and half long, now. He looks like a little tub of lard!
I like the green. Great Minds! I’ve been thinking of using crop circles for a piece as well.
Your original photo is already so abstract there’s no way I expected your finished piece to be literal. I think where you’re going is just right for you,and I can’t wait to see the finished piece in all it’s hand dyed and discharged and shibori glory. 🙂
LOVING the look of this….all the colours are FABULOUS!!!
I like the lime green. I think it gives the piece a little punch! Love the grids and circles – reminds me of a calendar of color.
The lime is working well in your grid and circles piece…wonderful! And…I love the rug Scooter is sleeping on…looks pretty cool.
But an adorable tub of lard…
That fabric is wonderful. Love the lush, earthy, colors. Perfect for your piece.
I like what you are doing with the crop circles and the discharge fabric is great. Scooter is just pointing out the crop circles on your rug for you – LOL!
